From sign-up to a budget
that survives the month.
Six steps, about twenty minutes. Each step says why it matters and exactly what to do — no card, no bank connection, and nothing to pay to start.
Step 01. Create your workspace
Why
SmartJib keeps one budget per workspace, and a workspace has its own currency, month start and money places. Getting this right first means nothing has to be migrated later.
Do it now
- Sign in with email, or open the demo workspace to look around without an account.
- Name the workspace — a household name is enough.
- Keep MAD as the currency unless you are paid in another one.
Step 02. Enter the income you actually receive
Why
Every split is a percentage of net income — the amount after CNSS and AMO. Entering a gross salary inflates every budget by the tax you never see.
Do it now
- Open Income and add the salary that lands in your account.
- Add irregular income separately so lean months can be planned.
- Not sure of the net figure? Run the net salary calculator first.
Step 03. Add your first expense the day it happens
Why
A budget built from memory is a guess. Two weeks of real entries show where the wallet leaks before you set a single limit.
Do it now
- Pick the money place the money left from — bank, home cash or wallet.
- Enter the amount and category; the note field is optional.
- Repeat for cash spending, which is the spending most trackers miss.
Step 04. Choose a starting plan
Why
A template gives every category a limit in one tap, so you are not staring at an empty budget screen. You can change any line afterwards.
Do it now
- Open the template gallery and pick the plan closest to your month.
- Check the category list and the amounts before importing.
- Import, then adjust the two or three lines that do not fit.
Step 05. Add debts and goals
Why
Debt and goals are why the budget exists. Leaving them out makes the split look healthier than it is and hides the month the balance changes.
Do it now
- Add each loan with its monthly payment so the cash-flow forecast is real.
- Add one goal with a target and a date; the app computes the monthly amount.
- Keep the emergency fund as its own goal, not inside another category.
Step 06. Install the app and let the habit hold
Why
The reminders, widgets and streak only work once SmartJib lives on the home screen. This is the step where most budgets quietly die.
Do it now
- Add SmartJib to your home screen from the browser menu.
- Turn on the daily reminder at a time you are actually on your phone.
- Open the app once a day for two weeks — the streak counts it.

SmartJib never asks for a bank connection and does not need one for any step above. Paid plans are planned, not purchasable today: the free plan is complete for a single household, and Pro is a 30-day preview without a card or automatic renewal.
